The story starts two nights before Kayla turned twenty-one years old, at a college bar. Sergio and Kayla had class together but never formally introduced themselves until that night. They began talking late October and by December they went on their first trip together to New York, without her parents knowing boys were tagging along. In January, Sergio bought tickets for them to go to Mexico and from there it is easy to say that traveling became something they loved doing together.

On February 2, 2018, Kayla asked Sergio to be her boyfriend. Probably because he was taking to long, even though he said he loved her first on that Mexico trip. In that year they traveled to multiple states, had multiple dates and made many memories.

All of 2019 was spent together celebrating birthdays, looking for big people jobs and traveling some more. Later on in September 2019, they moved in together to their first apartment and truly experienced how it was to live with a significant other.

Like many others had experienced in 2020, they experienced the struggles of that year with staying home and just trying to navigate what the new normal was. They needed something to look forward to and in July of 2020 their son Toby came into their lives. Toby brought so much life to their world and they were so happy to be paw-rents.

2021 was filled with tons of late nights, raising their son Toby and loving each other so very very much. Time was spent with family and friends and navigating lives as they grew their careers.

Sergio knew in 2022 that Kayla was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. After asking her best friend which ring she wanted, asking her parents and being super secretive for many months. He got down on one knee on September 22nd, 2022 and the rest is history.
